A Pup's Guide to Christmas Dinner

With the festive season fast approaching, we're sure that you're busy cooking up the perfect spread for your family and friends – and that your beloved pooch is trying its best to be involved in anything remotely food-related. If the whines and puppy eyes haven't yet started up, it's only a matter of time!

Wanting to treat your dog with an extra bite now and then is perfectly natural and, seeing as Christmas is a time for giving and indulgence, it's only right that our pups get in on the action too.

It's important to remember that no matter if your dog is your best friend, certain ‘people’ foods will wreak havoc on their bodies and can be dangerously poisonous. Always give them human food a little at a time, to see how their bodies react, and keep an eye on what your pup has stolen off the table.

To make things super simple, we've created this quick visual guide to the most important do's and don'ts of canine Christmas table etiquette for your peace of mind.

With so much food on the go at Christmas time, no one wants to be left out. And rather than give in to their puppy dog eyes at the chocolate cake, stay smart and keep your furry friend safe with a delicious gluten and wheat free Turkey treat from the experts!

Happy Eating and a Merry Christmas to you and your Pooch, from all of us at Lovejoys!
