Description
Our most popular flavour, Lovejoys® Turkey & Rice puppy food provides everything your puppy needs to be healthy, happy and well nourished. A hypoallergenic dog food, it contains a perfect balance of calcium and phosphorus and omega 6 & 3 fatty acids.
Here at Lovejoys®, we don't use any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives in any of our foods. Naturally good is the way we make them and we always will.
To care for your dog's health and welfare, this product provides the following specific components and benefits:

Turkey Meal is made entirely with natural turkey.

Rice, both brown and white, is a highly digested carbohydrate and energy source that is soft on the stomach.

Yucca Extract - A natural deodorizer that makes poos less stinky.

DHA: We add natural DHA to this product, which is found in oily fish.

Natural inulin from chicory aids in the maintenance of a healthy gut flora.

Antioxidants - Pomegranate, green tea, and rosemary are natural antioxidants that help the immune system.
Our puppy dog food is a complete food and can be fed alone.  If you want to add more variety to your dogs diet, our dry puppy food can also be mixed with wet dog food.  If you want to try combination feed, we recommend mixing our dry puppy dog food with Lovejoys Hypoallergenic Wet Puppy Food.

Feeding Guide

Lovejoys® is normally fed dry, but do make sure there is always a separate bowl of fresh drinking water available. Alternatively it can be softened with warm water which will bring out the flavour. Puppies should have more than one meal a day Ideally the daily serving is split across three to four meals throughout the day. See the feeding guide table for the correct amount. When changing over to Lovejoys please introduce the new food gradually over a period of two weeks.
For puppies up to six weeks old, we recommend soaking a small amount of food in warm water to soften it first, then gradually reduce the amount of water and introduce fresh dry kibble a little at a time.

Feeding routine

If you are feeding Lovejoys® dry food for the first time, the best way to introduce the new food to your dog is to start adding a small amount to their current food. Increase these amounts over the period of two weeks, whilst reducing the previous food until a complete change is achieved.

These guidelines are not a fixed rule. If you think your dog needs a little longer to get used to their new food, increase the number of days over which you integrate it into their diet.
